Whether you’re moving across town or across the country, you’ll need a plan to make your move as efficient and safe as possible. Moving can be frustrating and stressful, but there are many things you can do to make moving go smoothly.

1. Making a ‘to-do’ list for each room. This allows you to keep track of everything that needs to be done as you get moving. Make a list of the contents of each packed box. You’ll know exactly where everything is when you unpack. Tape this list to the front of the box, or just slip it inside so you can review it as needed.
